Region: Tadten < Burgenland < Austria Grape: Grüner Veltliner Vineyard/Cellar Stats: Certified organic (since 2014); gravel, chalk, sandy clay; fermented, spends 10 weeks on fine lees, goes through full ML, aged in stainless steel; bottled unfined/unfilterd with <15ppm added So2; 12% ABV Winemakers: Josef & Pia WurzingerFrüg is part of a new collaboration project between natty wine importer Jenny & Francois’ and carefully selected winemakers, in this case Josef and Pia Wurzinger, whose estate lies in the south-eastern part of Burgenland, almost at the border with Hungary.  3rd gen Josef took over the estate from his parents in 1991, gradually changing the vineyard management to organic and becoming certified in 2014.  The collab wines are all bottled in 1-liter bottles, following the Central-European tradition of bottling everyday drinking wines in big bottles.The name Frug comes from a 1960s dance, which is very shake-your-hips and vibrant like the wine itself, no
