Astell & Kern KANN ALPHA Overview Providing you with audiophile-quality sound in a compact and portable form factor, the KANN ALPHA High-Resolution Portable Audio Player from Astell & Kern sports up to 12 Vrms power output while delivering up to 14.5 hours of continuous playback. Audio is kept clean and pure with a 2.5mm and 4.4mm output, which use micro relays to keep them physically separated. For improved quality and durability, the 4.4mm output has a gold PVD coating to minimize noise. Two 3.5mm outputs (one for headphones and one for optical audio) are also present. A -141dB crosstalk measurement (at High gain) helps to ensure an extremely minimal amount of leakage between channels. Even electronic noise has been suppressed, with ultra-small tantalum power capacitors. To help match the full depth of original audio recordings, the KANN ALPHA has been given dual ESS ES9068AS DACs.
