Its oversized wheels allow it to traverse uneven terrain, making it suitable for use in hallways, gyms, playgrounds, ballfields, and even the woods. The built-in obstacle avoidance feature helps the robot navigate around barriers, ensuring smooth operation. Additionally, the robot offers multiple speeds, making it adaptable for use in a wide range of environments. With a memory capacity of up to 256 steps, the Rugged Robot is capable of carrying out complex activities. Students can also adjust the speed of the robot to suit their needs. The robot is equipped with an obstacle sensor that can be turned on and off, allowing students to prepare for more advanced programming tasks. The obstacle sensor detects obstacles in front of the robot and automatically reverses and rotates 45 degrees before continuing with the rest of the program. The TTS TacTile Reader is a unique and alternative way to program the Rugged Robot or Blue-Bot. By placing individual tiles in a row to create a sequence of instructions, students can program the robot to complete a specific task. The program can be executed by pressing the go button. The tiles can be arranged in either portrait or landscape orientation, depending on the child's preference. If the child wants to debug their program, they can simply swap the tiles and press go to try the program again. The TacTile Reader is also rechargeable and comes with 25 TacTiles included.
