Wells Sterling Silver Turquoise Glass Dangle Drop Pierced Earrings - Posts with Nuts
Dating to the 1960s/1970s or so, may I offer this pair of Sterling Silver (hallmarked as pictured) dangle drop earrings by Wells. For pierced ears, the findings are posts with nuts. The design to the pair is quite interesting - a stylized Native American design, probably made during the height of the popularity of Indian-made jewelry at the end of the 1960s. The earrings are composted of two parts - the top post and the bottom dangle set with a glass turquoise "dot". Length is 1-3/4"; width at the bottom is 1/2". Combined weight of the pair is 4.8 grams. Condition is very nice with a brushed finish to the silver. There's a mellow patina to the metal and to bring up a high shine, all that's needed is a light polish. A really fabulous designer signed pair of earrings. (ry)
