Uncas Sterling Silver Rhinestone Engagement Ring | Size 6
We baby boomers remember that in the back of 1960s comic books, there was always an ad for a "lookalike" engagement ring for $1. It may not seems much now but at that time, my weekly allowance was only 10 cents! From Uncas, one of the biggest makers of rings in the United States, here's a C.1960 or so Sterling Silver (hallmarked as pictured) and clear rhinestone "cracker jack" ring designed with a large 3/4" Carat round stone and 2 smaller shoulder stones. The stones are set in closed back settings and all are secure in prongs. Ring size is 6 on my sizer. Design on top measures 5/16" north/south x 1/2" east/west (shoulder stone to shoulder stone). Very, very bright center stone - the side stones have darkened just a smidge. A lovely remnant of times past.
