Gold Filled Antique Edwardian Red/Green Glass Paste Stick Pin - Lucky Horseshoe
Dating anywhere from the late 1890s to early 1900s, may I offer this overly large rose gold stick pin. While the pinstem is a silver colored metal, I believe the top horseshoe section is either gold filled or a genuine layer of gold over a base metal. The red and green pastes are glass and I have to say that my pictures are nothing like the actual item. Because the stones are set in engraved star settings, it looks like the top of the piece has a lot of tarnish in small spots - it doesn't. There are some dark marks on the silver stem but I am sure they will come off with a clean or polish. Length of the pin is 3"; horseshoe alone measures 13/16" long x 13/16" wide. Weight is 2.7 grams. No hallmarks. A real stunner for the lucky gambler or bridegroom!
