Made in Birmingham in 1919, may I offer this Sterling Silver (hallmarked as pictured) capstan shaped inkwell featuring a Tudric edging and an enamel transferware portrait of a collie to the top of the lid. The maker appears to be Deakin & Francis (est 1786). The inkwell has been engraved at the bottom "From G.F.B. 1921" at the bottom front. No glass container on the inside - do you actually need one? Height is about 2-1/8"; width at the base is 3-1/4". Weight is 144 grams. Condition is very fine with no dents or dings; all that's needed is a light polish. (ry)
