Calls Not Included * Jack Batley owned a barber shop in Valley City, Illinois in the late 1800s. When Jack did not have someone in the chair, he would work on his banded Illinois River-style metal reed duck calls. After he finished each call, he would wrap it with a cotton cord that was used all along the river to make fishing nets. The “Batley Call Safe” is a collaboration project between J. Stephens Calls and Wren & Ivy. Very similar to a tool roll, this a great piece to store and carry your calls and call accessories to the blind, on a hunting trip, or to a local call social. The wrap has loops to hold 9 calls and a specially designed lanyard pocket to tuck away your lanyard while securing your calls in the call loops. There are also 6 individual pockets for storing extra reeds, corks, guts, call tuning tools and other call accessories. Made of waxed twill canvas, vegetable-tanned bridled leather, and solid brass hardware the Batley Call Safe is not only durable but looks good.
