“Stay in the Background ” Original Artwork on canvas On view at Julep’s 420 E Grace St. RVA Artwork Size: 12”x12” Framed with black float frame.  Medium: Acrylic, graphite, ink, fabric, oil pastel, paper, and resin on stretched canvas. About the Artwork:  Although this piece was “finished” on day four, I wanted to take it further with experimenting with resin layers and collage. The over 10 layers of resin create depth and shadowing effects as the viewer moves around the piece.  Day 4 of the 100-day project. The 100-day project emerged from COVID-19 quarantine where it spread through social media. Creators of all mediums participated across the globe, and it inspired as well as impressed me. The subject and process of this project was inspired by my visit to the Acadian Center for the Arts’ exhibit of Eugene J. Martin’s heterochronic collages.
