Forest Bathing bar soap
Our most popular soap among locals, these hand and body soaps are made with windfall whidbey Douglas fir and western red cedar branches (and sometimes branches gifted from trusted neighbors who had to trim branches due to deck or home expansions or home or land maintenance projects. We also add a few local roses (rose petals, buds, and new leaves) to the mix because so many wild rugosa and Nootka roses greet us as we walk into and out of the woods here. The ground tips make the soap more exfoliating. The soap cleans like a champ and most people find the fir+cedar+rose scent to be both relaxing and invigorating--a magic that we entirely attribute to the forest we wander, listen to, and love. We call this our forest-bathing soap, because for us using this soap in the shower or the bath has a similar relaxing, calming, and eventually invigorating effect to how we feel when walking in the woods. They live in our Safety & Welcome family because the forest helps us feel welcome on earth
