Intro to Lace with Sari Nordlund (Friday Aug 1st, 5p-7p)

Join us for this special in-store event where Sari Nordlund introduces you to lace knitting.  In this class Sari will teach you to knit basic lace patterns as well as how to read charts. We will cover the common stitches used in lace patterns, including yarn overs and the decreases: k2tog and ssk. Required knowledge: basic knit and purl stitches  Materials needed: Yarn for swatching. The yarns should be preferably DK weight, for example merino or other smooth fibers with good stitch definition in light, unicolor colorway so you can easily see your stitches.  3.5 mm / US 4 or 4 mm / US 6 needles.
