Born:     December 26, 1682 in England Died:      Nov 18, 1720 in Port Royal, Jamacia Rolled With:        Most A-list pirates during its Golden Age Pirate Home:      Nassau, New Providence Island Fate:      Caught (surrendered) near Lucia Jamacia by Jonathan Barnett.  Tried in Spanish Town, Jamacia and hanged in Port Royal on November 18, 1720. Legend: The love of Rackham’s life was Anne Bonny.  Bonny fought alongside Mary Read on Rackham’s ship, immediately prior to Rackham’s capture (surrender), while Rackham hid below deck.  Prior to his sentence being carried out, it is said that Anne Bonny visited Rackham and said to him, "I'm sorry to see you here, but if you had fought like a man, you need not have hanged like a dog."  Rackham is also credited with flying the first “Jolly Roger” as it has come to be known, with its forward-facing skull and crossed swords beneath it.  He was given the name “Calico”, because of his taste for clothes made of brightly colored Indian Calico clo
