Cancer is doesn’t discriminate against people or positions. It will strike the President of the United States with the same impunity that it will strike the street beggar or the mother of an author. Regardless of the vast sums of money that have been expended on cancer research, almost one in every three Americans will contract cancer. The chances of an individual living his life without ever having to face cancer himself, in a family member or in a close friend are absolutely zero. After having faced the battle with cancer with his own family Bill Wead began to ask some questions. Why after years of expensive research are we still at a loss as to what causes cancer? Why, with all our technical advancements, are the traditional methods of cancer treatment based on the “cut, burn and poison” theories of cure?
