 Fumey Chatelain Cremant du Jura Brut Nature Jura France, NV, 750 Domaine Fumey Chatelain is located in Montigny-lès-Arsures, in the Jura . It was created by Raphaël Fumey and Adeline Chatelain in 1986. At the time, they started an activity of production and sale of grapes with 56 acres of vines. In the spring of 1991, due to a terrible episode of frost, they had so few grapes left that they decided to vinify it themselves and then signed their first vintage. They developed the business by borrowing cellars and unused barrels from other winegrowers before establishing themselves in a ruined farmhouse. Today, the estate has 17 hectares of vines and their son, Marin.
