Do you want to learn how you can help keep used clothing and other textiles out of landfills? We can all limit the negative impacts of what we wear, reduce the need to create more clothes, landfill spaces, and encourage more sustainable systems for managing textiles waste. Let’s do this! Let’s weave rag rugs! Felicity will share her techniques for upcycling old clothing into functional useful rag rugs. We will contemplate which colors and textures work best to weave these artful rugs while we learn traditional basic weaving skills. Students will go home with their very own hand woven 2.5’ x 3’ approx. size rug that will feel like a magic carpet ride! No experience necessary; all levels welcome. 100% recycled materialsmachine washable thick and comfyapprox finished rug size 2.5’ x 3’ Completely made with discarded clothing so we can keep it out of the landfill.
