Nitrite Nitrate Test Strip The Nitrite test strip is used to detect Nitrite in solution at increments of 1, 5, 10, & 25ppm. These strips are often used when testing for Nitrites in wine, seafood, and sandwich meats, such as ham and bologna. Instructions: Dip the test strip into the solution to be tested for 1-2 seconds. Remove and compare to the color chart after 30 seconds.
