HO Brass TCY - The Coach Yard SCL - Seaboard Coast Line and Amtrak 1969-71 "Silver Meteor"
NOTE: This is a pre-order from The Coach Yard. Invoice for full amount will be sent once the importer calls for final payment. Expected MSRP to be $1000-1100 per car. The Atlantic Coast Line and Seaboard Air Line merged in1967. At that time, passenger cars received extended SEABOARD COAST LINE letterboards with a new italic font and SCL logos. The roof/underbodies, now painted black, had reduced skirting, and were renumbered in ACL’s 4-digit system. The SCL sleepers were transferred to Hamburg Industries (and leased back), the result being that HAMBURG replaced PULLMAN on the small letterboard panels, and car numbers were added to sleepers (on one of the other small letterboards). The PRR cars were pulled from the train after the PennCentral merger in 1970. The Coach Yard is offering a variety of models detailed as noted above to represent the Silver Meteor and Silver Star streamliners during this era, FACTORY pro-finished: lettered and painted per prototype in HO scale.
