1974 run model built in Japan by Kumata. Box shows shelf wear with original foam replaced with bubblewrap. No spare parts included. Unpainted model. This model Represents GE's Early attempt at a cowl body Passenger locomotive. These were bought by the Santa Fe along with the EMD FP45's for new passenger power. These engines spent most of their lives on the Texas Chief, Kansas City to Chicago. After Amtrak these engines were repainted into Yellow and Blue Freight scheme. New NWSL gears have been installed to replace cracked axles gears - ready to go!
