Linen Camp Shirt with Crochet Embroidery

This camp shirt is made by hand from premium lightweight linen. Each shirt features crochet embroidery hand sewn at our atelier from crocheted yarn that was pieced together by our co-op of women on the outskirts of Marrakech.  Each shirt is inspired from the 19th century Cuban 'Guayabera', a relaxed work shirt with a loose fitting collar worn by farmers to keep cool in warm conditions. At the time Cuban immigrants introduced the camp shirt in New York and Miami in the 1950's, the style was so unlike others worn by Americans.
