Reprotique “The Palaces” Prints - Framed

Giuseppe Castiglione , Italian 1688-1766 24 x 15.5 , Framed Hand Colored and reproduced by Reprotique Giuseppe Castiglione, 1688-1766, was an Italian Jesuit Brother who served most of his life as a Missionary in China during the three Qing Emperors, in the Imperial Court.. His artistic painting style is a fusion of European and Chinese traditions. He was commissioned by the Court to design a series of Western-Style Palaces, unfortunately none of the 18th C. Architecture survived past 1860.
