Netgear Prosafe GSM7248 48 Port Gigabit Switch The Netgear Prosafe GSM7248 is a 48 port managed layer 2 switch. The GSM7248 is an affordable enterprise level 48 port switch. The switch is ideal for Gigabit to the desktop speeds, and is ideal for getting the most speed out of a small or medium sized business network. Of the 48 Ethernet (RJ-45) ports, 4 of the ports are combo SFP (Fiber) ports. An 8,000 MAC address table has been built into the switch. The Netgear GSM7248 supports Quality of Service protocol for routing traffic sensitive data through the switch first. Additional features such as IGMP filtering and VLAN support are included. The Netgear GSM7248 is available in two different versions, the GSM7248v1 (GSM7248-NAS100) and the GSM7248v2 (GSM7248-NAS200).
