Adtran MX2820 MUX Card 1186005G2 STS-1 Description: The Adtran 1186005G2 is a MUX card for the MX2820 multiplexer. The MX2820 MUX card offers a wealth of multiplexing capabilities including near and far end STS-1 PM, detecting alarm and loop-back conditions for DS1 and STS-1 lines. Each 1186005G2 supports flash download data from the system control unit (SCU). The MX2820 MUX cards (1186005G2) support 1:1 redundancy and are hot swappable for network stability. The 1186005G2 interfaces to a standard STS-1 signal from the network to provide 28 DSX-1 or 21 E1 outputs on the terminal side through the demapping of 28 VT1.5s or 21 VT2s.
