It can be used as a Level 3 Helmet or the Slap Top can be removed and it can be used stand alone with just the Level IIIA helmet for less weight. It has a harness that features a ratchet on the back to tighten the helmet securely to the your head. It also has straps on all four corners to tighten it down securely around your head.  It comes with the Arc rails so that you can attach your lights, headsets, and other gear.
