BIX DIYHIFISUPPLY Turntable

For your consideration, we have a rare BIX turntable from Brian Cherry’s DIY Hifi Supply. Long since discontinued, we acquired this unit from a HiFi enthusiast that passed away. Much of the units in his collection were items that were of the best bang for the buck variety, and this table definitely fits the mold. It has a 2 section decoupled acrylic plinth, a 40mm thick frosted acrylic platter, and a detached DC motor, switchable 33/45 with fine tuning potentiometers. The unit came with a Thorens branded Rega RB250 tonearm, and was upgraded with the Origin Live structural upgrade, consisting of the two part chrome plated stub and new chrome counterweight.  We found the table to be an excellent sounding unit. It operates with a self lubricating Inverted bearing with highly polished ceramic ball on Teflon thrust plate.
