A0040 - Labradorite in Sterling Silver, Pendant

Labradorite is a feldspar mineral that has a labradorescence. Yep. That's a real word. It means "a play of colors or colored reflections exhibited and caused by internal structures that selectively reflect only certain colors."  The crystals are often found in thin and tabular shapes with colors ranging from purple to grey blue, green, yellow, and brown. The mineral has a pearly sheen and some specimens have a schiller effect. I'll let you look that one up! The bezel is marked 925 for Sterling Silver open back setting which saves everyone money on silver, including you. The bezel is a smooth polished sterling and contains five small labradorite cabochons totaling 8.46 carats.  It is a very light weight pendant and should easily be supported by a thin chain.
