don’t bug me! by pillowcrushes

for me, design peaked in the 90s and early 2000s. everything was fun, silly, colorful, and appealed to our inner child. as an avid ebay peruser, i’ve been really into cheesy “souvenir” style shirts - “i did this and all i got was this”, “i survived this”, etc. i especially love finding vintage y2k merchandise, referencing the theory that computers worldwide would fail at the turn of the new millennium. ‘i survived the y2k bug’ became popular, with designs usually including a funny little bug. ‘computer bugs’ eventually became a more outdated term, so my design is a nod towards that, as well as an ode to my ebay addiction. :~)
