Beautiful irradiated Smoky Quartz point with very dark coloring. Smoky Quartz is the name given to any Quartz variety that is light gray to deep black in color. "Irradiated" Smoky Quartz is Smoky Quartz that has been exposed to gamma radiation to darken its coloring. While this is not a natural variety of Smoky Quartz (which we also offer in our shop), it is a gorgeous stone. Smoky Quartz is metaphysically known as a powerful mood lifter and grounding stone, and is believed to encourage us to let go of emotional baggage.
