Pair of Antique Old Sheffield Plate Bottle Coasters

Here are two great matching antique wine coasters! They are made the old way by the coveted "Old Sheffield Plate" technique. It was exciting to find these because this technique was easy to spot by the seam where the two plates of silver would have been joined. Note the elaborate lead applique edge and the wood insert. The wood insert is so lovely to have because it absorbs any moisture from the bottle! There is some tarnish and wear to the silver you can see on the applique top.They are 6.75" wide.
