Rare set of antique mother of pearl flatware. 5 knives and 5 forks. ⁠⁠The forks are very hard to come by. Each has a silver plate blade, an ornate STERLING SILVER collar and glistening mother of pearl handles. Mother of pearl was a glowing, pearlescent material used to make utensil handles in the 1800's. The silversmiths used the beautiful iridescent interior of oyster and abalone shells to create these unique works of art. 9". Price is for 10.
