Ice Bucket with Lion Head handles

Wow! This is a very special ice bucket with unusual repousse grapes and leaves decorating the body.  Look closely at the lion head mounts with rings in their mouths as handles.  An acorn finial adorns the lid.  The glass interior is inuslated with cork which identifies this bucket as antique. It was made by W. & S. Blackinton which was formed in 1865, by William, Samuel and Lewis Blackinton in Meriden CT. this company was Acquired by Ellmore Silver Co in 1938. It is marked "Chased W & S Blackinton Fine Silver Plate Since 1865" It is 10.5" t x 9" wide.  Bucket is in excellent antique condition. The lid has a couple of tarnish marks.
