Look at the lovely design details of these two antique salt cellars with blue cobalt glass inserts. Made in England, each is lifted on long legs and large paw feet which extend from lion heads. Lustrous silver plate on copper in very good condition. There is a small bit of wear inside the bowls which is covered by the cobalt liners. There are two very small chips on one of the liners. They are each 3" wide x 1.75" tall. The company which was started by William Suckling in 1895 was known for its makers mark of a sign post. The firm was active at 40 Tenby St, 35 Albion St and 5 Pope St, Birmingham, England as well as Sheffield England.
