Substantial Friedman Silver Co Tongs

Here is a pair of heavy, substantial silverplated pierced tongs. I especially like these because of the size at 6.75" long. Use them to serve ice or in your next buffet. American-made by Friedman Silver Company which operated between 1910 and 1960 and was later bought by Gorham. These feature the classic Friedman hallmark of a horse's head in a shield. Notice the pierced bases.
