Awesome Find! Antique Trumpet Vase Holder
This outstanding silver plated specimen was a Victorian fancy and is now a striking architectural element for anyone who loves artistic beauty. This extremely tall trumpet vase must have at one time held a glass insert. It is extremely ornate and decorated with hooped strings crossed with braided twine and adorned with garlands with roses. This piece was executed by a famous silver company which began in 1682 and eventually became known as Joseph Rodgers & Sons Ltd in 1871. The silver markings for this company appear on the bottom. The site of the original Sheffield factory is sketched in the image below! Fantastic antique condition, a few tiny dents in base, a few areas that could use more polishing. 17 " tall x 7.25 " wide at top.
