Allium 'Globemaster' Ornamental Onion

Allium 'Globemaster' has dramatically large, 10” globe-shaped clusters of small, violet, star-shaped flowers which sit atop a sturdy stem with broad, green leaves. This Ornamental Onion loves sunny spaces and prefers well-drained to moist soil. The onion scent given off the plant when bruised or cut is not appreciated by deer or rabbits. Standing between 28 inches and 42 inches tall, Allium 'Globemaster' adds great height in a border and has a striking impact when planted in groups. The violet blooms attract pollinators throughout the spring. The spherical blooms can be dried and preserved to be used in floral arrangements continuing to serve as a statement plant long after the Globemaster's blooming season as ended.
