What Will Remain - oil on birch.
“What Will Remain.” 16 x 20 inches, framed in a maple floater frame. This piece is focused on the Three Sisters Mountains, and the way they push and pull storms and sunshine. I lived under them for 4 years, feeling always the swell of energy that accumulates and releases as a storm rolls over. It seems to me to be a reminder that there is a rhythm and a reliability even to things we cannot control, things that have been in sway long before our tender bodies became involved. A great power and a great tenderness that points to a deeper truth about the world we are living in. This piece is for sale as part of the affordable art project - an effort to have fun with new concepts as a painter, and then get original art into as many homes as I can. wishing you all a sweet Sunday.
