The spikes and hardware are installed securely by heavy pounding and/or screwed thru the leather.  The spikes and hardware are powder coated black and gold 1" and 1-3/4" extreme spikes. The picture shows 2" wide that is suitable for big breeds SIZING INFO;If your dog has an 18" neck and is full grown, we suggest a 16"-20" collar for a perfect fit.
