Thirteen Foot Double Curved Yellow Poplar Textured River Table
Thirteen feet long double naturally curved yellow poplar table one of a kind. This beautiful future heirloom piece is a true river table made of reclaimed two inch thick slabs. The textured creek pebbles are from the biodiverse Clinch River watershed in its Virginia headwaters. Most river tables are finished with leveled epoxy and lose their natural characteristics. Although this “river” can be filled to the rim of the table top the artisan wanted a unique buyer to make that choice. For now, you can feel the textured ”river rocks” with just enough glazed depth to be a unique conversation piece or a smooth surface can be added at no extra cost upon request before shipping. Filling the river to the rim cannot be reversed so the option is yours. The four birch slab legs are beautiful as well but the real history lies in the mid support full 2x4 1840 hand-planed and chiseled quarter sawn oak farm house framing. Nothing else matches this look.
