Here's a lightly used broadcast codec capable of sending and receiving audio over the internet, LAN or private network. Bit rates up to 384K (22KHz audio bandwidth) are supported and the audio can be sent as uncompressed linear audio or using the APT-X codec (16 or 24 bits depth). I tested the Codec Management Software application (password=password) under Windows 10 64bit and was able to set up a pair of codecs to send bi-directional broadcast quality audio between units - see screenshots below. Note that the management application needs to be used to configure the codec, there is no direct web based interface.
