The USB output records a stereo track with the send signal on one side and the receive side on the other. That's useful because often the interviewer might speak over the guest and this can be corrected by muting the unwanted send 'send' signal without affecting the desired 'receive' signal. I performed my testing on a PC with native support for USB 2.0 standards. In my experience some later machines with only USB 3.0 ports are not always 100% backwards compatible with devices of this generation. So if your machine is a few years old then you should be fine.
