The Wine: Tailleurs Cueilleurs Rita & Rova Gamay 2022 Tailleurs Cueilleurs Rita & Rova Gamay is a natural wine made from grapes farmed organically and biodynamically in Bugey, France. The grapes underwent destemming and a three-week maceration process before being pressed and aged in a mix of French and Eastern European oak barrels. The resulting wine is both supple and refreshingly crisp, featuring flavors of cherry and plum with herbaceous undertones and a subtle hint of earthy, wet leaves. The Producer: Tailleurs Cueilleurs Tailleurs Cailleurs, led by Chloé Bey and Jordan d'Osualdo, operates out of Saint-Jean-le-Vieux on the northern edge of Bugey. They manage several small vineyard plots, adhering to organic and biodynamic farming practices to foster a thriving local ecosystem. In their winemaking process, they avoid the use of sulphur at any stage. All of their wines mature in demi-muids and are bottled without filtration to preserve their natural character. The Region: B
