Prewar and More can rebuild your early Ford generator in original 6 volt or convert your generator to 12 volt to ensure your car charges the way it should. We can also rewire your generator to use a voltage regulator instead of the stock cut out. This option will convert your generator to a 2 brush generator like the later 1939-1953 generators and removes your original cut out to use the traditional style voltage regulator. Every generator we rebuild gets brand new field coils, brushes, bearings, bushings and hardware all included in the price. Your armature will be tested to ensure no shorted windings and commentator surface will be turned, polished, and mica will be recut.
