Custom Stock - Post-War Standard Rifle

This is a stunning custom stock made for a post-war standard rifle. Beautifully crafted, this American walnut stock features elegant checkering, an ebony tip and grip cap, and a Pachmayer Decelerator recoil pad. The finish is smooth and even, with no cracks, gouges, nicks or scratches to the wood. The checkering is clean with sweeping curves and a forestock panel which wraps entirely around the underside of the stock. There is a maker's mark reading "Bob Smith - Lake City Minn." The stock is superbly inletted and has never been bedded. The barrel channel is a perfect fit for a factory standard barrel contour and excludes the barrel screw of the factory stock.  LOP: 13-1/2 inches
