.30-06 Springfield Target Rifle - 1961

This is a .30-06 target rifle produced in 1961. This rifle is in very good condition with some handling or storage wear as noted below. The metal is in excellent condition and the bluing grades at 90% plus. There is no noted finish wear on the 24" barrel but there are two small scratches on the top of the barrel. There is light bluing wear on the guide areas of the receiver where the bolt lugs contact the guides. The extractor ring shows some bluing wear from bolt cycling, but no other wear of the bluing is noted. The bottom metal is in near perfect condition. The bore of the 24" barrel has only very light throat wear and no pitting under borescope examination. We grade the bore a 9 out of 10. The original finish on the stock is in very good condition but unfortunately has some handling marks; a couple light scratches and shallow dings. The stock has not been shortened or otherwise modified and retains its original steel buttplate in near perfect condition. This rifle appears to be 100
