
.30-06 Springfield Standard Rifle - 1954
This is a beautiful .30-06 standard rifle, produced in 1954. This fine representative example of the post-war standard rifles has a refinished stock and original finishes on the metal. Overall, it grades in NRA excellent condition. The original bluing grades at 95% and is in excellent condition with only light edge wear around the muzzle, a few light marks from the scope bases, and tiny blemishes to the bottom metal. The bore of the 24" barrel shows no wear in the throat, though it does contain a few shallow pits and some wear near the muzzle. For this reason, it rates an 8 out of 10 upon borescope inspection. The bolt is correct and serial number matched to the receiver. The refinished stock has no notable wear or flaking. The wood is gorgeous, in near-perfect condition. The checkering is crisp and clean; there are a few flattened spots, one of which extends out of the checkering into the border area, but there are no other cracks, gouges, stains, scuffs, or notable blemishes of
