.270 W.C.F. Standard Rifle - 1941

This .270 WCF standard rifle was produced in 1948. It is a high-condition rifle grading in NRA excellent condition.  The Winchester Carbonia bluing is near perfect at 99%+ with no notable edge wear, rubs scratches, or other blemishes. The bottom metal is worse than the balance of the rifle with some slight scuffs on the floorplate and a dull patina on the trigger guard. The bore of the 24" barrel is nearly perfect and grading a 9 out of 10 with the borescope. There is no pitting, erosion, or heat cracking, and just slight copper fouling. The stock retains its factory finish in near-perfect condition but may have been overcoated. The factory steel buttplate is intact and is the only part on the rifle to show any bluing wear. There are no cracks or stains in the wood. The 21 LPI checkering is crisp and appears it may have been chased to remove the finish.
