The pliable nature of this 6-Strand Floss makes it ideal for a variety of applications in fiber arts - embroidery, needlepoint, cross stitch and quilting. A portion of the selection is highly variegated with multiple colors, while the majority are offered in subtle tone-on-tone colors, providing a natural look. Over-dyed threads are dyed at least twice with a secondary color being applied to a previously dyed fiber. This process results in distinct colors that gives each finished product a unique and dynamic look. Most of the threads are colorfast, meaning they retain their original hue without fading or running. To achieve a consistent, colorfast fiber, the team at Weeks top wash our products at high temperature with water and soap, which removes excess dye from the fiber.
