Sonoran Seasons Card Set by Alexclamation Ink

This card set from local artist Alex Jimenez of Alex! Ink is a celebration of the different seasons of the Sonoran Desert. Each design features an array of desert flora and fauna, shining a spotlight on the sometimes subtle, occasionally drastic, but always beautiful changes in the desert seasons. While blank inside, each brightly colored card includes a description on the back of the inspiration behind its design, with details of the plants, animals and peoples of this place we call home. Each set includes 6 blank 5"x7" notecards, 6 envelopes and 1 sticker. As a former scientist, Alex approaches art from a slightly different perspective, as a design problem or illustration project becomes a search for the right question, and the final image the answer. A lover of the process, Alex’s work is meticulous and iterative, taking advantage of the digital world by combining hand illustrated elements with photography, watercolors, and vectorized images.
