
A Lifetime of Experience Art Print
This is one of four pieces I drew while on a trip to the forest. It was right before I opened my larger storefront and so many unknown things were happening. But, I forced myself to sit by the fire and doodle on my iPad – and I was shocked at what happened. The Forest Series was born. Composed of minimal shapes, deep tones and unexpected color combinations, this is a more minimal direction for me. I feel it is a necessary pivot – to make space in my brain (and on the virtual canvas) for whatever's next. "A Lifetime of Experience" was named because of an internal struggle I sometimes have when making art. I was sitting in a chair, looking through the glass at the woods outside, and doodling. It was coming so easy! I was creating pieces I really loved at what felt like warped speed. I felt bad about this and told Seth that perhaps I should spend more time on these prints because creating them too quickly might minimize their value.
