Lotus Plant Description Jade Cloud Lotus (Biyun) is a fabulous, sacred lotus with rows of white, ruffled petals that create  regal lotus flowers! Jade Cloud Lotus will be the crowning glory of your water garden feature this year!    Lotus Planting Instructions Plant this sacred lotus specimen in a wide (24 - 48 inches wide or wider), shallow container. Fill the container 2/3 full using loam soil. Dig a shallow trench on the surface of the soil and gently place your sacred lotus tuber in the trench, taking care not to break or damage the growth tips. Cover all but the growth tips with an inch or two of soil, leaving the growth tips exposed. Gently add 4 - 6 inches of water above the soil and place in a sunny area outdoors.
