Detour Records Taking you back to the 1979/81 Mod Revival was in full swing and the majority of the new mod bands were formed in the South and a Northern Mod band was much needed to service the growing number of scooter clubs and the long established huge Burnley and Pendle scooter club amongst others!A local pub the ”Bridge Inn” rapidly became a Mod / Ska pub and a few of us began to form a scooter club the Rossendale Valiants! The band was formed soon after and Myself, ex punk and former Grout member “Paul Paint” on guitar vocals, a great front man Mozz (Mark Morrison) lead Vocals, on drums Kirk (TinTin) Fletcher and a talented young bassist Flanny, Carl Flannigan!After starting out doing gigs at the 'Bridge Inn', word rapidly spread throughout the scooter scene and the Valiants were on their way!
